The Ft. Belvoir chapter of the SMGA started in 2012 and conducted two eight week sessions in the spring and fall of that year. Over 95 wounded warriors, spouses, children, and Warrior Transition Battalion Cadre participants came out that year! Some very famous faces have shown up at the clinic series held at Fort Belvoir SMGA including, former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, former FBI Robert Mueller and former US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta. Ft. Belvoir SMGA was even treated to a suprise visit by US President Barack Obama!
